Having just played yesterday, the Greenhill Hornets will jump right back in to play the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars at 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
Greenhill has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 62-49 to Richardson on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Greenhill came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Richardson is ranked 252nd).
Meanwhile, Midlothian Heritage made easy work of Nacogdoches on Thursday and carried off a 64-41 win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Batty, who scored 16 points. Grace Sweeney was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Greenhill's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Midlothian Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
Greenhill skirted past Midlothian Heritage 55-52 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Does Greenhill have another victory up their sleeve, or will Midlothian Heritage turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
