With a playoff win on the line, Overton rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Beckville Bearcats 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 15 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Overton let Bryson Bobbitt and Landon Hill run wild. Bobbitt went 2-for-4 with three runs, while Hill went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Hill has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Harper, who went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

The victory was the third in a row for Overton, bringing their record up to 28-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beckville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-7.

Overton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bearcats: the pair will be back at it again later today.
