The Greenbrier West Cavaliers will take on the Doddridge County Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Greenbrier West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Greenbrier West turned things around against Webster County on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Highlanders. The Cavaliers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Brilee Redden was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Like Greenbrier West, Doddridge County also got a great game from a two-way player: Kamryn Satterfield. The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Greenbrier West has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Doddridge County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Greenbrier West came out on top in a nail-biter against Doddridge County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 7-5. Will the Cavaliers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
