On Wednesday, things could have been worse for Noble Street College Prep, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 48-29 loss to Lincoln Park. Noble Street College Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Noble Street College Prep saw an underclassman step up: Sarai Gonzalez scored 12 points. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Shaniyah Gamble was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Noble Street College Prep has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Lincoln Park, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Noble Street College Prep will square off against UIC College Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. UIC College Prep comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 17 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Lincoln Park won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Maine East at 6:30 p.m. on January 4th. Hopefully Maine East focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
