Starting off the list is Columbia's Logan Hicks, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Hicks rushed for 130 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also picked up 53 receiving yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Kaden Rakers's big game helped extend Breese Central's winning streak to seven on Friday. Rakers did his part (and then some), rushing for 107 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 41 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2023.

Freeburg was led to victory by John Higgins, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Higgins rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 108 receiving yards.
Freeburg moved to 2-5 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Higgins and Freeburg will square off against Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
