The Sequoyah Indians will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Warner Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Warner took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sequoyah, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Sequoyah on the road against Roland as the team secured a 54-16 victory. The win was just what Sequoyah needed coming off of a 47-21 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, Warner's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Prague, falling 34-6. While losing is never fun, Warner can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Prague is ranked 59th).
Sequoyah is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Warner, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Sequoyah might still be hurting after the 35-14 defeat they got from Warner in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Will Sequoyah have more luck at home instead of on the road?
