Chett Vaughan Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Cumby's Chett Vaughan, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Vaughan threw for 154 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 55 yards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Cumby, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Vaughan and Cumby will square off against Clarksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Dakari Johnson Leads Cumby over Detroit
On Friday, Cumby got the W thanks in part to Dakari Johnson playing the best football he has all season. Johnson rushed for 132 yards on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.
If history really does repeat itself, Johnson might just drop another big game when he faces off against Clarksville on Friday. When Johnson last faced the Tigers back in November of 2023, he rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.

Jonathan Morgan continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his third-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least three passing touchdowns. He threw for 150 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards.
On the year, Morgan has thrown 19 touchdowns while averaging 258.1 passing yards per game.
