After two games on the road, Bexley is heading back home. They will take on The Worthington Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Bexley is ranked 519th, while Worthington Christian is ranked 496th).
After soaring to 42 points the game before, Bexley were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were outmatched by Bishop Ready on the road and fell 56-7. Bexley was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jamie Wright, who picked up 133 receiving yards and a touchdown. Wright's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.
Meanwhile, Worthington Christian won a match that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Grove City Christian 22-21.
Worthington Christian can attribute much of their success to Hobie Raikes, who threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns. Jacob Corbin also helped out with an impressive 108 receiving yards.
Worthington Christian's win bumped their season record to 4-5 while Bexley's loss dropped theirs to 3-6.
