Pecatonica is 0-10 against Pearl City since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Indians will look to defend their home field against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Pecatonica is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Pecatonica lost a heartbreaker the last time they played River Ridge/Scales Mound, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Indians put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 20-9 win on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Pecatonica got a massive performance out of Ava Ackerman, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Those four hits gave Ackerman a new career-high. Addison Stender was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Pecatonica always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .733. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Pearl City lost 19-1 to Fulton on Saturday.
Pearl City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elley Voss, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Pecatonica's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Pearl City, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Pecatonica hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Pearl City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Pecatonica suffered a grim 18-7 defeat to Pearl City in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
