Volleyball Recap: Timber Creek Extends Winning Streak to Five

While Timber Creek didn't have the best season last year (they finished 17-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They won by a set and slipped past the West Plains Wolves 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Timber Creek found their leader in sophomore Addison Wilcox, who had 17 digs and three assists. Toree Rayford also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

West Plains' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Idaly Sotelo, who had 19 digs and two assists. Sotelo has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played. Ava Barksdale was another key player, getting 12 digs and two aces.

Timber Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for West Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Timber Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Northwest on the 19th. As for West Plains, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Liberty on the 19th.
