Basketball Recap: Janiah Norman Key Part of a Team Effort in Red Devils Win

Lincoln County hadn't done well against Harlem recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Lincoln County Red Devils came out on top against the Harlem Bulldogs by a score of 48-39. The score was all tied up 21-21 at the break, but the Red Devils were the better team in the second half.

Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Janiah Norman, who posted 21 points and four steals. Norman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadence Elam, who earned eight points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.

Lincoln County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

Lincoln County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Harlem, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Lincoln County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-39 win against Towns County on the 20th. As for Harlem, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 42-38 victory against Aquinas on the 17th.
