Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Ellsworth

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Tuesday. Ellsworth put the hurt on St. Croix Central with a sharp 13-3 win. The result was nothing new for Ellsworth, who have now won five games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Brinklee Graetz was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Ava Whipple, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The victory (which was Ellsworth's third in a row) raised their record to 8-1. As for St. Croix Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ellsworth is set to square off against their familiar foe Baldwin-Woodville at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Croix Central will take on rival Somerset at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
