On Friday, Luling had to suffer through a rough 53-25 loss at the hands of Blanco.
Mina Broyles was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 20 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals for Blanco. That makes it three consecutive games in which Broyles has scored at least 25% of Blanco's points. Another player making a difference was Kate Capshaw, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Luling's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Blanco, their win bumped their record up to 7-9.
Luling will head out on the road to face off against TMI-Episcopal at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. TMI-Episcopal is on a three-game streak of home losses, Luling a 16-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Blanco will be home for the holidays to greet Richland Springs at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Richland Springs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Blanco in Texas (Richland Springs is ranked 167th, while Blanco is ranked 904th).
