Kelseyville came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Upper Lake Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kelseyville easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-11.

Kelseyville's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Upper Lake, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Kelseyville and Upper Lake will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Knights see the court they'll take on Lower Lake at 6:00 p.m. on September 9. As for Upper Lake, their break will end when they face Willits at 6:00 p.m. on September 2.
