If Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart beats Marathon with 11 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart never let Immaculata-La Salle get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. The Cyclones haven't had any issues with the Royal Lions recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Madelyn Althage tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

Meanwhile, Marathon got the win against Immaculata-La Salle on Tuesday by a conclusive 20-4. The game marked the Dolphins' most dominant win of the season so far.

Thursday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. However, it's not like Marathon struggles in that department as they've averaged .614. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart couldn't quite get it done against Marathon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
