After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Illiana Christian, the Victory Christian Academy Lions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They managed a 35-30 win over Andrews Academy.
Leading Victory Christian Academy to victory were Amariah Jankowski and Ellen Penner. Jankowski scored 19 points along with three steals, while Penner scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jankowski has scored at least a third of Victory Christian Academy's points.
Despite the defeat, Andrews Academy had strong showings from Audrey Simpson, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Havvah Schnepp, who scored 12 points.
Victory Christian Academy pushed their record up to 7-10 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Andrews Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Victory Christian Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Andrews Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
