The Tomah Timberwolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Sparta 76-62. The win was just what Tomah needed coming off of a 79-45 loss in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Sparta still got an impressive performance from Gavin Rhead, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of John Rice, who scored 16 points.
Tomah's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-10. As for Sparta, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tomah will take on Baraboo at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday. Baraboo presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tomah in Wisconsin (Baraboo is ranked 118th, while Tomah is ranked 388th). Sparta won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Holmen at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd.
