The Bishop Manogue Miners will face off against the Carson Senators at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Manogue is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
Bishop Manogue came out on top against Damonte Ranch on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run first inning. The Miners put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Sammi Boggs was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Averie Stephan, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiki Harris, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Bishop Manogue hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 18 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Carson faced Reed in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Senators lost 11-1 to the Raiders. The Senators haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Carson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley Kuhlman, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.
Bishop Manogue's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-8-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Carson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12-1.
Carson's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bishop Manogue has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Carson, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Bishop Manogue keep running through batters, or will the Senators buck the trend?
Bishop Manogue took their win against Carson in their previous meeting on April 1st by a conclusive 8-2 score. Do the Miners have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Senators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
