Albany waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Zachary Broncos a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Hornets have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Albany's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Zachary, their loss dropped their record down to 14-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albany will square off against Ascension Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Zachary, they will challenge Brusly at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
