Meanwhile, Thornwood beat Perspectives Leadership on Monday by the very same score they won with last week: 35-30. The win made it back-to-back wins for Thornwood.
Thornwood had a senior duo take command as Katlynn Williams-clark scored 18 points along with 5 steals and Akylah Fulton scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Williams-clark has scored at least 25% of Thornwood's points.
Crete-Monee has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Thornwood, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Crete-Monee suffered a grim 57-31 defeat to Thornwood when the teams last played back in January. Can Crete-Monee avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
