The game was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but Taft School was blown out by Cheshire Academy in the second.
Cheshire Academy was led to victory by Shawn Mills and Dante Reno. Mills rushed for 129 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, while Reno threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns. Mills was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards. Teriq Mallory also helped out with an impressive 86 receiving yards.
Taft School has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Cheshire Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-1.
