The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. On Friday Beecher will take on Carson City-Crystal at 7:00 PM. Beecher are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
If Beecher were riding high off their 37-0 takedown of Perry two weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Last Friday, Beecher were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 27-31 to Byron. Beecher's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Meanwhile, Carson City-Crystal had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 38-28 win over Tawas Area. The success made it back-to-back wins for Carson City-Crystal.
Carson City-Crystal's victory lifted them to 8-1 while Beecher's defeat dropped them down to 6-3. We'll find out if Carson City-Crystal can add another positive mark to their record or if Beecher can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Carson City-Crystal's step.
