The Apopka Blue Darters will face off against the Colonial Grenadiers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Apopka is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-47 win over Ocoee. Given the Blue Darters' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Knights are ranked 180th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Apopka's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jermichael Johnson, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points and four steals. Johnson is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last six games he's played. Larson Taylor was another key player, putting up 11 points and seven rebounds.
Apopka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Colonial was not able to break out of their rough patch last Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 64-57 to Boone.
Apopka will have to contain Silas Williams as he made an impact in Colonial's last game. He dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten boards. Williams continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitfield Bynoe, who posted 12 points.
Apopka is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Colonial, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Apopka hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 55 points per game. It's a different story for Colonial, though, as they've been averaging only 39.8 points. The only thing between Apopka and another offensive beatdown is Colonial. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Apopka beat Colonial 61-51 in their previous matchup back in January of 2015. The rematch might be a little tougher for Apopka since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
