Volleyball Recap: Allatoona Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Allatoona won the last time they faced Southeast Whitfield County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Buccaneers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Raiders.

Allatoona easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-19.

Madi Heard paced Allatoona's offense, picking up 12 kills. Heard got some help from Lk Lamonica and her 26 assists. Lamonica also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Georgia Hill, racking up two apiece.

Allatoona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Southeast Whitfield County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Coincidentally, Allatoona and Southeast Whitfield County will both be playing Cedartown the next time they take the court. The Buccaneers will host the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Raiders will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
