After losing to the Triton Hawks the last time they met, the Westover Wolverines decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Westover came out on top against Triton by a score of 35-27 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westover.
Westover's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tytiana Dowden led the charge by scoring 12 points. Another player making a difference was Dahliyana Baldwin, who scored six points along with four steals.
Westover's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
Westover will be playing in front of their home fans against Overhills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Overhills will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Westover is ranked 88th). As for Triton, they will head out on the road to face off against Western Harnett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Harnett is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
