Santa Rosa Academy is a perfect 4-0 against Hamilton since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Santa Rosa Academy will venture away from home to square off against Hamilton at 3:30 p.m. Hamilton took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Santa Rosa Academy, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Santa Rosa Academy beat Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School 6-3. The win continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won nine in a row.
Maxwell Dupree spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Santa Rosa Academy's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 1-7 when he doesn't).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Dominic Zagone, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Ulrick, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Santa Rosa Academy lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Hamilton came up short against Nuview Bridge on Monday, falling 16-5. The Bobcats have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.
Seth Aanestad made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI. Sebastion Soriano also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Santa Rosa Academy pushed their record up to 4-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing 7.33 strikeouts in those games compared to only three in the others. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Santa Rosa Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hamilton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Santa Rosa Academy took their win against Hamilton in their previous meeting back in April of 2019 by a conclusive 13-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Santa Rosa Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
