The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sandy Spring Friends has scored all season.
Palm Beach Lakes' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kylah Boatwright, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Laniya Hall was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds.
Sandy Spring Friends' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sandy Spring Friends will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Model Secondary School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on January 8th. Palm Beach Lakes is on the road again on January 10th and play against Palm Beach Gardens at 7:30 p.m. on January 10th.
