Batavia hadn't done well against Wheaton-Warrenville South recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 2-0. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matchups in a row.

While Batavia won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.

Morgan Raiser paced Batavia's offense, picking up seven kills. Raiser got some help from Mia Hernandez-Vega and her eight assists. Delaney Wik controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Batavia's victory bumped their record up to 16-18. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 16-18.

Looking ahead, Batavia will welcome Bolingbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they will challenge Neuqua Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
