Meanwhile, Boerne-Champion's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They took a blow against Smithson Valley, falling 42-10. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 333rd, while the Rangers are ranked 118th).
The victory got Seguin back to even at 2-2. As for Boerne-Champion, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
