If McDonell Central was feeling good fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Cadott on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Macks fell just short of the Grantsburg Pirates by a score of 2-1 on Monday. The Macks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McDonell Central's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Grantsburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDonell Central will welcome Somerset at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Macks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Grantsburg, they will host Unity at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Pirates' favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while the Eagles have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
