Several Razorbacks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marnie Baxter, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Baxter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Kami Roach was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Daniel's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braelin Cumbie led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cumbie has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Shala Williams, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Walhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Daniel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walhalla will stay at home for another game and welcome Crescent at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Crescent is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Daniel, they will be playing at home against West-Oak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (West-Oak is ranked 66th, while Daniel is ranked 77th).
