They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Banks Academy Jets at 6:00 p.m. Banks Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Evangel Christian, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, Evangel Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Tabernacle, taking the game 35-26.
Evangel Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Casadie Dixon out in front who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Hallie Wells, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Banks Academy, who are still winless after their fifth game. They suffered a tough 44-24 defeat at the hands of Bessemer Academy two weeks ago. Banks Academy has struggled against Bessemer Academy recently, as their game two weeks ago was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Evangel Christian pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Banks Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
