The Landstown Eagles will take on the Salem Sundevils at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Landstown has three straight wins, Salem has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Landstown made easy work of Tallwood and carried off a 21-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

George Chevalier made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyle Flora, who went 2-for-3 with five runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Jordan Hunt was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Landstown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Salem fell victim to Princess Anne and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 19-0 to the Cavaliers. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Sundevils' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Landstown's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Salem, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.
Landstown took their victory against Salem in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 22-2 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Sundevils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
