The Waldron Mohawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 56-37 to Bethesda Christian. Waldron has struggled against the Patriots recently, as their game on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Mohawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Fischer, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fischer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Shaw, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Sam Mlagan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bethesda Christian, scoring 18 points along with four steals. Luke Douglas was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists.
Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Bethesda Christian, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waldron will take on the Spartans at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Southwestern comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Bethesda Christian, they and the Blue Devils will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Indianapolis Shortridge is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
