The West Elk Patriots won the last time they faced the Neodesha Blue Streaks, and things went their way on Tuesday too. West Elk enjoyed a cozy 56-40 win over Neodesha. The victory made it back-to-back wins for West Elk.
Maddex Moreno continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of West Elk's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Uriah Tillapaugh, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
West Elk's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Neodesha, they bumped their record down to 2-3 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Elk will take on Fredonia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Neodesha, they will head out on the road to face off against Humboldt on Friday. Humboldt is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
