The Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight defeat. They took a 63-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stargate School. Even though they lost, Eagle Ridge Academy's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.1 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Despite the loss, Eagle Ridge Academy still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Garcia, who scored 35 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garcia has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jackson Pendleton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 16 rebounds.
Stargate School's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dylan Perkins, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Connor Rusch was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Eagle Ridge Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Stargate School, their victory bumped their record up to 10-7.
Eagle Ridge Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Manual at 7:00 p.m. Eagle Ridge Academy is coming into the game with four straight defeats at home, meaning Manual will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Stargate School will take on Aurora West College Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Stargate School's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
