Simeon and Jones are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Simeon's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Jones has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Monday, Simeon made easy work of Brooks and carried off a 16-4 win. The Wolverines might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
Christian Lott looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Antwan Jackson was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ben Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Simeon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Jones came up short against Solorio on Tuesday and fell 7-4.
Madden Asbaty put in work while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. Asbaty was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Asbaty wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Christophe DeWijkerslooth, who went 2-for-4 with one double.
The victory got Simeon back to even at 9-9-1. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
