The Windsor Owls won the last time they faced the Affton Cougars, and things went their way on Thursday too. Windsor came out on top against Affton by a score of 59-49. Windsor pushed the score to 51-29 by the end of the third, a deficit Affton cut but never quite recovered from.
Anna M daughtry and Amelia Wilson certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. M daughtry scored 11 points along with eight assists and six rebounds, while Wilson scored 22 points along with seven steals. M daughtry is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Emma Grana was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Windsor and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Affton, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Hancock the next time they take the court. Affton will host Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Windsor will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
