Severance proved they can win big last Monday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Timnath Cubs 8-7. The win was nothing new for the Silver Knights as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Brady Iverson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Finn Wischmeier, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Auggie Dominguez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

Severance's record is now 8-4. As for Timnath, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Severance will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cubs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
