The Bennett Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 63-10 win over The Pinnacle on the road. With that victory, Bennett brought their scoring average up to 51.5 points per game.
Leading Bennett to victory were Lily Venneberg and Jessica Venneberg. Venneberg scored 17 points along with seven steals and five rebounds, while Venneberg scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Venneberg has scored at least 25% of Bennett's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raquel Thorpe, who scored four points along with 11 steals.
Bennett pushed their record up to 5-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 41.67 points. As for The Pinnacle, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bennett will take on Lake County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lake County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 319th, while Bennett is ranked 115th). As for The Pinnacle, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Arrupe Jesuit at 5:30 p.m.
