The Clinch County Panthers entered their tilt with the Coffee Trojans with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Clinch County narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Trojans 47-44. For Clinch County, this counts as revenge for the 49-34 loss the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Despite the loss, Coffee saw an underclassman step up: Lexie Bradford dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds. Bradford is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jasmine Porter, who scored 15 points.
Clinch County's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Coffee, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinch County will challenge the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Charlton County is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
