The Bainbridge Bearcats won the last time they faced the Seminole County Indians, and things went their way on Saturday too. Bainbridge enjoyed a cozy 65-47 win over Seminole County. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bainbridge.
Bainbridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aj Grant out in front who scored 20 points. Cam Sanders was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with three steals.
Defeat or not, Seminole County got some senior leadership from Ethan Johnson and DJ Yarbrough. Johnson scored 16 points along with eight rebounds, while Yarbrough. scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicavious Henderson, who scored five points along with two blocks.
Seminole County struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Bainbridge's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Seminole County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.
Bainbridge will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Hardaway at 6:30 p.m. Hardaway is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Seminole County, they will head out on the road to take on Stewart County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stewart County has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 17.
