Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Hibbing

Hibbing lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Superior, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Bluejackets were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Spartans on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Bluejackets as they're now sitting on four straight.

Braydon Rewertz and Tate Swanson did most of the damage at the plate: Rewertz got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, while Swanson went 1-for-5 with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave Swanson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Davey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Hibbing's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Superior, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Coming up, Hibbing will host Marshall at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
