The Tullahoma Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Marion County Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Tullahoma has five straight wins, Marion County has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Marion County's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: Tullahoma hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. Tullahoma never let Spring Hill get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Thursday. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.
Hunter Hogan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hogan was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other pitching news, Ben Quick looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Tullahoma is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-5 otherwise.

Tullahoma hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring Hill struck out nine times.
Meanwhile, Marion County fell victim to Cascade and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 10-0 to the Champions.
Tullahoma pushed their record up to 5-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Marion County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Tullahoma was able to grind out a solid victory over Marion County when the teams last played back in April of 2023, winning 9-5. Will Tullahoma repeat their success, or does Marion County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
