Redan is 0-3 against Callaway since December of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Redan Raiders' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Callaway Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Hopefully Redan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
Redan suffered their biggest loss since December 5, 2023 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Columbia on the road and fell 80-13. While losing is never fun, Redan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while Columbia is ranked 165th).
Londyn Felder was Redan's leading scorer, having posted six points. Felder held things down on the boards with four rebounds.
Meanwhile, Callaway waltzed into their contest on Saturday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Heard County 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Callaway has posted yet this season.
Redan's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Callaway, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Redan was dealt a bruising 77-17 defeat at the hands of Callaway in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Redan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
