Diego Kisner was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Meanwhile, Nogales waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Chargers by a score of 8-4.
Denzel Montijo made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Montijo was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other batting news, Nico Bernal was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Luis Diego Jacquez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Nogales always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cholla only posted an OBP of .320.
Nogales' record now sits at 7-4-1. As for Flowing Wells, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
