The Miller Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Rosecrans. Miller has not had much luck with Bishop Rosecrans recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Miller's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lillian Anderson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Abby Keller, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Bishop Rosecrans found their leader in underclassman Abby Sagan, who scored 18 points. That's the first time this season that Sagan scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Bernett, who scored ten points.
Miller bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Bishop Rosecrans, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.
Miller will face off against Trimble at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Trimble is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Bishop Rosecrans will be home for the holidays to greet Harvest Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvest Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bishop Rosecrans in Ohio (Harvest Prep is ranked 316th, while Bishop Rosecrans is ranked 637th).
