Poplar Springs extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 1-5. They came up short against the Bethlehem Wildcats, falling 17-7. Kaleb Bush and Teagan Kerr stepped up to the plate in a big way. Bush went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Kerr went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those stolen bases were Bush's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Laken Maddoxx, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
As for Bethlehem, their record now sits at 4-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the game before.
On Bethlehem's side, Justin Miller was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Miller has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
