The Irondale Knights lost against the Stillwater Ponies back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Irondale lost to Stillwater on the road by a decisive 68-49 margin. Irondale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Irondale still got an impressive performance from Jake Dedominces, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds. Fisher Killins was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Irondale's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8. As for Stillwater, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Irondale's road trip will continue as they head out to face Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. on January 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Minnesota (Two Rivers is ranked 245th, while Irondale is ranked 262nd). As for Stillwater, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Roseville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roseville is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
