Stryker had lost ten straight at home dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 1-13 to make it 11. They came up short against the Edgerton Bulldogs, falling 13-1. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 19-1 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Edgerton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.
On Edgerton's side, Kellen Sanchez made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave Sanchez a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Edgerton is undefeated when Sanchez posts two or more runs, but 7-9 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddox Baker, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Edgerton: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 6-7 otherwise. Jackson Flower was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Stryker will venture away from home to square off against Gorham Fayette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Edgerton, they will be playing at home against Bryan at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Golden Bears will have lost six straight heading into Tuesday's matchup.
